A moment of peace - Mariam De Giorgio

A blue painted dresser fills the back wall, its glass doors stacked with plates and bowls in cream, teal and ochre. To the left, tall shuttered doors let in pale green light; to the right, an armchair with a gilded frame and dusty pink upholstery stands beside a second wooden chair. Sprays of pink blossom and orange flowers lean out of vases, and the floor is covered by a rug scattered with small red and yellow blooms.
