A set table - Samuel

The corner of an ochre table juts into the frame, holding an axe standing upright on its head, a yellow lemon, a small navy bowl marked with red and a little red box with paint dripping over the edge. A lamp with a scalloped ochre and violet shade rises at the right, and an oval gold-framed mirror on the pale blue-grey wall shows a pink ground and a grey leaf-like shape.
