Blue Moon Garden - Art By Biba

A pale blue-white moon hangs in a turquoise and deep blue sky above a band of wildflowers. Sunflowers, white spires of veronica, purple lupins, thistles and small daisies crowd up from the bottom edge in green, yellow, violet and pink, painted in short stippled marks that stand out against the dark.

Acrylic on canvas, the flowers built up in small strokes over a blended sky. Biba Smith is a self-taught painter from London, now living in Hertfordshire, who works mainly in acrylic and takes much of her subject matter from the sky and space.
