Snowdrops rise on thick green stems against a pale lilac-grey ground. Two open flowers hang from arched stalks with their outer petals curved back and a green heart marked on the inner ones, and buds and blade-like leaves push up around them. The whole plant is painted in one register of yellow-green and white, with no shadow and no soil.
