Cauldon Ceramics Cobalt Betty Teapot King Mug is an oversized ceramic mug from Cauldon's Cobalt Betty range - thrown in Staffordshire red clay and finished in the same deep blue glaze as the teapots.

Product Highlights & Features

  • A proper large mug: A king mug is the British name for the big one - the mug you use when a normal cup means getting up again in ten minutes.
  • Holds heat: The dense Etruria Marl clay body keeps tea hot longer than a thin porcelain mug does.
  • Matches the pot: Same clay and glaze as the Cobalt Betty teapot, creamer and butter dish.

About Cauldon Ceramics: Cauldon Ceramics is the oldest surviving maker of the Brown Betty teapot in Britain, working from Stoke-upon-Trent in the Staffordshire Potteries. It still throws the pot from local Etruria Marl red clay and finishes it in the Rockingham glaze that Staffordshire potters settled on by the 1750s.

British Food Supplies sources and imports products directly from the UK for customers buying British favourites in the USA.
