ChrysAlice - Alice Ruja

A headless torso stands at the centre of a hazy grey-green field, the body wrapped in a ribbed, cocoon-like shell traced with dark contour lines. Pale lace and leaf-shaped frills gather at the shoulders and arms. Two faint wing shapes rise diagonally towards the upper corners, and fine vertical streaks fall across the whole surface like rain.

Created by Romanian visual artist Alice Ruja, whose graphic techniques turn inner experience into expressionistic imagery. Conceived as an image of the eternal fountain, it holds a figure suspended between chrysalis and butterfly in a warm summer downpour. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
