Diving into summer - KG Studio

Seen from directly above, a line of green sea turtle hatchlings crosses wet sand towards the water, each one leaving a short drag mark behind it. The first has already reached the foam. Turquoise surf breaks in two white bands across the top of the picture, and an adult turtle's orange shell shows at the bottom left corner.

Acrylic on canvas, the foam worked up in thick white over flat washes of sand and sea. KG Studio is Katie Gillespie, a British artist and photographer living in Sardinia, whose recent work is drawn from the sea around her. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
