Fear - VanW

An angel crouches low with both arms stretched out along the ground in front of him and his head dropped between his shoulders. One wing rises pale behind his back, the other is dragged out dark to the left in broken brown and red strokes. The whole picture is kept in umber, ochre and cream against black.

Mixed media on canvas, the ground scraped and scumbled and the figure built up in warm glazes. VanW works in mixed media in France and paints the human body for its own sake. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
