Full Bloom - KG Studio

One five-petalled flower fills the whole canvas against a charcoal grey ground. The petals run from deep magenta at the base out to white at the ruffled edges, with gold leaf flicked along the veins and small red flecks scattered over them. The centre is a raised black knot of thick paint.

Mixed media on canvas, the petals built in layers with gold leaf and impasto worked into the surface.
