Moon and Rainbow - Art By Biba

A crescent moon with a soft human face fills most of a deep navy sky, painted in cream and pale yellow with orange and grey in the shadows. A rainbow arcs in from the right and runs to the moon's mouth. Small white stars are scattered over the sky, and lumpy clouds in grey, ochre and blue bank up in the corners.

Acrylic on canvas, worked in soft blended colour with the star field flicked on last. Biba Smith is a self-taught painter from London, now living in Hertfordshire, who works mainly in acrylic and takes much of her subject matter from the sky and space.
