Pjazza Reġina - Mariam De Giorgio

A honey-coloured limestone facade fills the square, the word BIBLIOTHECA carved above an arched niche where a white marble statue sits on a grey plinth. Tall shuttered windows and a stone balcony rise above it, and a strip of bright blue sky shows at the top. Café awnings in cream and pink lean in from both sides, strung with round white lamps, while figures in dark clothes sit at tables or cross the paving.
