Plum Blossom Pair - Tracey

Two small birds sit close together on a bare plum branch, one in slate grey and rust, the other paler and fluffed up behind it. Red blossoms open along the branches in clusters, several of them touched with gold, and the wood is laid in with dry grey-brown strokes that fray at the edges. The whole scene sits inside a white circle on a warm yellow ground, with a second branch crossing the top corner.

Painted in the Chinese brush tradition, ink and colour on paper, with gold worked into the open flowers. Tracey paints in Chinese brush and also works in children's book illustration. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
