Red Soles - Art By Biba

A pair of legs crossed at the ankle on a pale grey floor, one foot half out of its shoe. Both are black patent stilettos with lacquered red soles, painted with hard white highlights along the patent. The legs are modelled in gold, tan and brown against a grey wall with a pale panel of light behind them.

Acrylic on canvas, built in flat planes with the highlights cut in last. Biba Smith is a self-taught painter from London, now living in Hertfordshire, who works mainly in acrylic and takes much of her subject matter from the sky and space.
