A hand throws the horns behind the neck of an electric guitar, drawn in charcoal greys and white against a flat salmon pink ground. The fretboard runs straight across the picture, frets and strings picked out in white. Silver chains loop over the wrist and knuckles, the nails are painted black, and a leather cord is knotted at the wrist.

Charcoal and acrylic, the hand and guitar left in greyscale on a single flat colour. Biba Smith is a self-taught painter from London, now living in Hertfordshire, who works mainly in acrylic and takes much of her subject matter from the sky and space.
