Sleeping Baby - Cristina Iacob

A baby lies asleep in a bonnet and a patterned sleepsuit, drawn entirely in charcoal on white paper. The face is worked up smooth and light, the bedding around it in loose hatching, and the ground behind is rubbed dark so the head and the folded blanket stand out. Nothing is outlined; the shapes come out of the shading.
