Stairway to Heaven - Art Guveau

A tall black ladder climbs through the centre of a pale cream field washed with sky blue, slate and ochre. Around it, thick black lines loop and swoop across the surface, ending in tight spirals at the lower corners, while a hanging chain of small rings runs down the left edge.

Painted in loose, layered washes with bold black line drawn on top, and signed at the lower right. Art Guveau is a musician and painter who has worked as an artist since 2012 and exhibited in Brussels, Amsterdam, London and Düsseldorf.
