Sunny Side Up - Art By Biba

A woman's torso seen straight on against a deep blue ground, arms raised out of the frame. Two fried eggs lie over her breasts, one with the yolk whole and domed, the other with the yolk broken and running sideways across the white. The body is painted in warm pinks and creams with soft shading and no face.

Oil on canvas board, the eggs worked up in gloss against a flat blue ground. Biba Smith is a self-taught painter from London, now living in Hertfordshire, who works mainly in acrylic and takes much of her subject matter from the sky and space.
