Tears of a flower - KG Studio

A row of flowers stands against a flat black ground: a yellow one, a deep red poinsettia, two pink lilies and a crimson bloom, with bees on three of them and a blue and turquoise hummingbird hovering at the top left. Paint runs down from every petal in long pink and green streams and pools in a wide band along the bottom.

Acrylic on canvas, the flowers painted solid and the drips laid on wet so they ran. KG Studio is Katie Gillespie, a British artist and photographer living in Sardinia, whose work runs from the sea to vivid flowers and animals. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
