Vandal Pietà - Dikhotomy

A classical marble bust of a young woman looks down through half-closed eyes, crowned with white and deep red flowers and dark green leaves. Long grey-brown paint drips run from the crown, over her cheeks and mouth, and down her bare shoulders. Behind her a black brick wall is covered in graffiti — yellow loops, lilac lettering, a red tag at the right edge — pressing the calm of the sculpture against the noise of the street.
