Village Festa - Mariam De Giorgio

A village feast procession moves down a narrow street at dusk. A gilded statue of the Madonna and Child, crowned with a halo of rays, rides on a golden pedestal, followed by altar servers in white surplices and clergy in crimson. Strings of small bulbs hang overhead between limestone facades and enclosed wooden balconies painted deep blue and green, with a church dome and cross rising against a vivid blue sky.
