Zebra Heels - Art By Biba

Two hands reach down to pull up sheer black socks over a pair of feet in zebra-striped pointed heels. The socks are painted transparent, so the tan of the skin shows through the mesh, and the striped shoes are black and white with hard edges. The ground behind is bright sky blue with a grey shadow cast to one side.

Acrylic on canvas, the mesh laid over the skin tone in dry, dragged strokes. Biba Smith is a self-taught painter from London, now living in Hertfordshire, who works mainly in acrylic and takes much of her subject matter from the sky and space.
