Black 2 - Dan Hobday

A large incomplete circle, dense horizontal lines and sweeping organic curves are scratched in white across a richly textured black ground. The marks have an energy and physicality — each line a record of movement rather than a considered drawing. Like Black 3, this work belongs to the “Black” series, designed to stand alone or hang together as a powerful monochrome statement.
