Butterfly in Amber - Cristina Iacob

A butterfly rests with its wings raised against a ground of amber and gold. The wings are built from hard-edged patches of dark maroon, black, cream and scarlet, with two pale eye-spots at the top and ringed markings low on the hindwing. Below, the surface folds into soft orange shapes that could be petals or flame.
