Cauldon Ceramics 4 Cup Brown Betty logo teapot with infuser is the Staffordshire Brown Betty supplied with a removable tea basket, so you can brew loose leaf and lift the leaves out before the pot stews. It carries the Cauldon mark on the body and comes ready for loose leaf.

Product Highlights & Features

  • The infuser: A removable basket sits in the neck of the pot. Fill it with loose leaf, brew, then lift it out - the tea stops developing at the point you want it to instead of turning bitter in the pot.
  • Why this shape brews well: Even with a basket in, the globe body gives the leaf room to open. The spout is cut roughly at the tip so it breaks the water flow and pours cleanly.
  • Size and finish: A 4-cup pot, 36 fl oz - enough for two people over a long morning, or four cups round a table. Finished in Rockingham brown, with the Cauldon mark on the body.

About Cauldon Ceramics: Cauldon Ceramics is the oldest surviving maker of the Brown Betty teapot in Britain, working from Stoke-upon-Trent in the Staffordshire Potteries. It still throws the pot from local Etruria Marl red clay and finishes it in the Rockingham glaze that Staffordshire potters settled on by the 1750s.

British Food Supplies sources and imports products directly from the UK for customers buying British favourites in the USA.
