Champagne Emergency - Matthews Gallerie

A shallow coupe glass holds pale gold champagne with a few small bubbles rising through it, and on the surface floats a miniature red-and-white lifebuoy. The glass is drawn in fine ink line with soft watercolour washes and stands on a single rough blue brushstroke against warm cream paper, the joke delivered with a completely straight face.
