Yellow quinces hang among their leaves on a coral pink ground, three of them turned to the front with the dried calyx still on the end. The fruit is painted in lemon and olive with green outlines, and the leaves around them run from mint to ochre, some of them drawn only as outlines against the pink.

Gouache on paper, laid on in flat washes with the outlines drawn in over the colour. Maria Emanuela Fiori is an Italian illustrator, born and living in Sardinia, who works in dense gouache and takes her forms from nature. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
