Ladies Night - Art By Biba

A woman's head and bare shoulders in profile against flat hot pink. She is painted entirely in greys and white - skin, the towel wrapped high on her head, the shadow under her cheekbone - and the only colour on her is a pair of large round gold earrings. The wrapped hair falls in a long pale column down her back.

Acrylic on canvas, the figure kept in greyscale against a single flat colour. Biba Smith is a self-taught painter from London, now living in Hertfordshire, who works mainly in acrylic and takes much of her subject matter from the sky and space.
