Papaveri e margherite - Maria Emanuela Fiori

Poppies in orange, yellow and coral open across a pale mint ground, with blue bell-shaped flowers, cream daisies and feathery seed heads packed in between them. Each flower is painted wet, the colour carried right out to the edge of the petal, and the black centres of the poppies are the only dark notes.

Gouache on paper, worked wet so the colours bleed inside each petal. Maria Emanuela Fiori is an Italian illustrator, born and living in Sardinia, who works in dense gouache and takes her forms from nature. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
